Ocean's Edge Hotel, Port Aransas,TX

Easy check-in! Learned they had a happy hour from 5 to 7. Unpacked,.nice size room. Fridge but no freezer compartment. Nice accessible bathroom, too. I picked up the pool tool in the office and went to the pool. Nice furniture on patio and around pool. The pool did have steps into.it, but no railing. In the 5 ft end, there was a ladder, but typically, I find the bottom step on thosebto.ve too big of a height to reach with my bum hip. So, unfortunately , I didn't get to go in the pool. We did head over to the happy hour. They had chicken & bean taquitos for a snack plus coke or a beer. We enjoyed talking with Amanda, the front desk staff. She was so welcoming, friendly & vivacious. Bed was comfy and had a good nights sleep. Folks had complained about the breakfast, but we found it quite good. There were eggs, sausage, nice cooked potatoes, bagels, bread, yogurt, cereal, waffles & fresh fruit. Plus juice & coffee. I think we will plan a trip back here in Jan for relaxation & fishing too.They also rent golf carts at a reasonable price.

Breakfast was great every morning, and the location is very convenient to the beach and shopping.

The staff was very nice and friendly. I needed help, and it was provided with no questions asked; they simply assisted me in replacing the key I accidentally left inside my room.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at this location. The 1st was when it was Red Roof. The location is within walking distance to the shops, restaurants, gas station, and most importantly, the beach. I really enjoyed the pool area with separate seating sections. The pool is the reason I chose to book at Oceans Edge, and the pool hours. 9am to midnight. Idk if the hours are seasonal. They also offer breakfast and it's included in the stay, I didn't get a chance to try it but it's always nice. Rooms are clean and decent size, they're not cramped at all!! This is my go to hotel stay in Port A!

Loved everything about this hotel from the clean and comfortable room to the nice outside area and pool! Don't let the cheap price make you think this isn't a great hotel! Everything is clean and well kept, the staff was amazing and they have a nice breakfast that I see isn't shown to be included online but it is. Plus, they have happy hour in the lobby where you get 2 free drinks and appetizers.
